Somabay property types: apartments, chalets, cabanas and villas

Understand the labels, compare the actual plans and identify the home being offered.

Start with the collection and plan

Somabay’s project catalogue distinguishes several Mesca products, including Residences, Cabanas, Chalets, Standalone Chalets and Twin Chalets. Wadi Jebal Extension and Bay Central also appear as separate catalogue entries.

These names help organise research; they do not replace a floor plan, area schedule or specification for the actual property.

Compare how the home works

Look at sleeping spaces, indoor and outdoor areas, stairs, access, privacy and the relationship to neighbouring homes. Similar bedroom counts can conceal very different layouts.

A cabana, chalet or apartment label does not establish furnishing, hotel services or a letting arrangement. Ask what is included in the written specification and what must be arranged separately.

New development, resale and rental

A developer release, a privately resold home and a holiday rental involve different documents and decisions. The exact collection, building and unit identify what is being discussed.

For a rental, compare the actual accommodation and stay inclusions. For a purchase, compare the contract, payment schedule and ownership costs for that property.

Use the maps and the numbers together

The atlas shows how supplied plans relate approximately to geography. It helps you ask better questions about the setting, but it is not a measured unit survey or a confirmation of a view.

Use the project comparison tool to put alternatives side by side, then open the full project guides and dated sources.

Project examples: the label is only the start

Mesca’s official catalogue separates several product families. A buyer comparing a cabana with a residence should therefore begin with the actual plan and collection, not assume that both names describe the same sort of home. Wadi Jebal and its Extension also need their own collection identity.

Reside labels the original Sholan project ready to move in. Its separate Sholan Extension page describes 149 apartments, calls the project under development and publishes a 2026 completion target. Those are developer statements reviewed on 22 October 2026. The target is not proof that an individual home has been handed over.
