For an owner returning home, a long-stay tenant or a guest choosing a hotel, the useful question is specific: can the arrangements cover the journey and the places you intend to use? Begin at the airport pickup, follow the route to the actual room and bathroom, then check the everyday destinations. Keep each answer attached to its provider and date.
Three hotel references, three different kinds of information
Sheraton’s official page publishes lifts, routes from the public entrance to named common areas, and room features such as a roll-in shower and grab rails. This is useful detail to discuss with the hotel. It does not allocate a room or give the widths, gradients and complete beach or pool route for your stay.
ROBINSON’s club page gives a general statement about suitability for reduced mobility and directs readers to its Service Centre about individual needs. Ask for the actual room and route information you need; the broad statement cannot answer those details by itself.
Kempinski’s Resort View room page describes rooms as primarily on the ground floor and lists a bathtub with separate shower. Ground floor does not tell you whether the way in is step-free or whether the shower has a threshold. A separate, undated Health and Safety page restricts entry with electric scooters. Its wording does not define how it treats mobility scooters or powered wheelchairs. Clarify the exact equipment and current arrangement with the hotel; this guide does not decide the rule’s scope.
These are three published references, not a complete accessibility shortlist or a ranking. The absence of another hotel from this panel does not establish that it lacks suitable rooms or services.
Airport assistance and the road car are separate
EGYPTAIR’s assistance page asks for assistance requests at least 48 hours before departure and arrival at the airport at least three hours before the scheduled flight. That is EGYPTAIR’s published instruction, not a universal deadline. Confirm the operating airline’s process for your actual booking, including a connection and the return journey.
Its wheelchair categories distinguish help over longer distances, help where aircraft stairs cannot be climbed, and cabin-seat assistance. Describe the assistance you need to the airline and let it confirm the appropriate arrangement. This guide does not assess fitness to fly, interpret medical clearance or approve equipment or battery carriage.
Then agree the road transfer separately. Ask about the actual vehicle and boarding arrangement, equipment space, meeting point and delay fallback. A confirmed airport wheelchair request does not reserve an adapted car. The arrival guide keeps pickup, entry and keys as separate handovers.
Ask about the exact home or room
For your own home, ask the person preparing it to follow the route from the intended drop-off to the rooms you use. For a rental or hotel, request information about the allocated unit or room type, rather than accepting a photograph of another part of the property.
Specify the clearances and arrangement you need. Ask for current measurements of the narrowest doors and passages, thresholds, lift door and cabin, and the bedroom and bathroom. If a lift is needed, settle the fallback if it is unavailable. Avoid assuming that a room on a low floor, an elevator somewhere in the building, or a “separate shower” answers the full question.
Request photos that show the relevant doorway, approach and bathroom layout. Keep measurements, room allocation and any agreed assistance in writing. The FCDO’s travel-planning guidance, last updated 19 June 2019, supports specific requests and written confirmation. We use its practical planning sections; its age is visible, and its legal and medical sections are not adopted here as current Egypt advice.
Make the daily route part of the question
Choose the actual restaurant, shop, pool, beach or activity you expect to use. Ask each venue about the approach, surface, steps, toilet and arrangement needed for that visit. A guest’s access to one hotel does not settle a neighbouring facility. Keep permission to enter separate from physical access.
The guide’s maps show orientation and approximate master-plan positions. They contain no audited step-free route, gradient, dropped-kerb or accessible-toilet network. A straight line, nearby dot or the same gate does not establish an accessible journey between places. The daytime shuttle is also a published service description, not an inspected vehicle or boarding arrangement; see shuttle and evenings.
For someone who needs a particular communication format, ask how the provider will supply the booking, meeting instructions and changes. Agree the evening return before going out, and the airport collection and equipment handover before departure.
Keep useful arrangements privately
The route record above is a planning aid. It contains no diagnosis, medical assessment, eligibility decision or suitability score. Leave unanswered questions marked Not confirmed. Entries stay on this page until reload or Clear; the guide does not receive or store them. A downloaded copy remains on your device, so keep it private.
Six public primary pages were inspected on 4 October 2026. Hotel and airline publication dates are unknown; the FCDO page retains its 2019 update. No room, route, vehicle, equipment, airport service or assistance was physically tested, and no provider was contacted. The separate text reference and original reading diagram add to the offline material; the earlier atlas and three PDF editions remain unchanged.
