Reading the website
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Your browser sends technical information, including your IP address, requested page and request headers, so the host can deliver pages and protect the service. Hosting and security systems may keep technical logs. The guide does not add advertising trackers or a newsletter signup.
Fonts, guide graphics and developer-plan images are served with the site. Cloudflare’s privacy policy explains its own handling of information.
Visitor statistics
On somabayguide.com, we use Plausible Analytics to understand which pages help readers and how often people explore the satellite map, click guide downloads, contact the editor or follow a sponsor link. These are aggregate statistics, not a record of worksheet answers or messages. Download and contact counts record a click; they do not confirm a completed download or a sent email.
Plausible processes technical request information, including IP address and browser information, to produce statistics such as approximate country, device type and daily visitor counts. It does not use analytics cookies or retain raw IP addresses. Our integration sends the canonical page address without query strings or fragments and reduces referrers to their origin. It does not send search terms, map coordinates, worksheet values, email addresses or clicked destination URLs as event properties. Preview sites and saved editions do not record visits. Plausible’s data policy explains its processing and retention.
Search and private worksheets
Search, filters and planning worksheets run in your browser. You do not need an account, and the worksheets are not submitted to us. Typing in a worksheet does not send your answers to the publisher. The guide does not save a personal copy of your answers; an ordinary reload clears them, although your browser may restore form values.
Search and filter choices can appear in the page address. Refreshing or sharing that address can send those choices to the host or to the person receiving the link. Please do not put private details in a search.
Printing, copying or downloading a completed worksheet creates a copy under your control. Keep it private. Please leave passport details, medical records, payment information and access codes out of worksheets and correction emails.
Satellite maps
The satellite explorer loads imagery and map credits from Esri’s ArcGIS services. Opening that page sends technical requests to those services, including your IP address and the map area needed to display tiles. The map does not request your device’s location. Panning and zooming may load additional tiles. Esri’s privacy information describes its handling of these requests.
Emailing the guide
Email links open your chosen mail app; they do not automatically send a message. Email to contact@somabayguide.com is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the editor’s KÂMO Property Group mailbox. Your email address, message and any attachments therefore pass through the email services involved and can be read by the editor there.
Corrections are used to investigate the issue and reply. Contacting the guide is not a request for property advice or permission to add you to a marketing list. Send only information you are comfortable sharing by email. Correction emails and editorial records may be kept after a reply so we can follow up and explain why a page changed. You can contact the editor about information you would like removed.
Links to other services
Telephone, email, business websites and map links open services outside this guide. A property enquiry made directly to KÂMO is handled by KÂMO under its own policies. Check the receiving service’s privacy information before sharing personal details.
Questions and removal requests
Email contact@somabayguide.com to ask about a message you sent, correct your contact details or request removal of your personal information from editorial correspondence. Tell us enough to locate the message without sending identity documents. We will explain what we can do and any records that need to be retained.
Changes to this notice
If the guide introduces accounts, submitted forms, newsletters or different analytics, this notice will be updated to describe them. The date above records a notice change, not a new check of every fact in the guide.
