LOCAL CONTACTS

Find a place Check facility access Plan a guest’s arrival

Check current hours, prices and entry arrangements with the business before you go.

Call the relevant service

These are Egypt's national emergency numbers, listed by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

Read the government emergency-contact page. Read 15 October 2026. These are Egypt shortcodes; this guide has not tested calling or roaming compatibility.

Give the exact location

Keep the name of your hotel or development and the actual entrance instructions available. For a private home, use the building or plot information given by the host. “Soma Bay” alone can refer to different places around the wider bay. If someone is assisting you, give them the same location and contact information.

Local care and insurance

A pharmacy listing is not an emergency department. This guide does not establish which nearby hospital is suitable for a particular condition, an ambulance dispatch point or a transfer time. For a serious incident, contact the relevant emergency service and your insurer or travel provider. The government page above also explains assistance abroad.

For a non-emergency pharmacy enquiry, use Pharmacies and care planning. For a water, electricity or property fault, use Utility reporting. These are different services.
